The development and applications of the algorithm for calculating the sound wave entropy

As a part of the study a method for calculating the entropy of a sound wave was developed, at that the result is computed using the average values of amplitudes. At the same time the entropy does not depend on the volume and weakly depends on rare displays in his voice, for example, a sharp increase in one of the amplitude, but it takes into account the individual characteristics of a speaker. It was also revealed, that two different voices can be distinguished by the entropy with high probability on the same short and long phrases, which are spoken in a calm state. Furthermore, it was noticed that the change of emotional state (joy - sad) leads to a change of entropy. In particular, a cheerful voice reduces the entropy, and a sad voice - increases it. By this means, it is shown that the proposed method can be applied for determining the characteristics of human voice, in particular, to identify the speaker and setting his emotional state.
