The article provides a general psychological theoretical model of the structure of an individual's legal consciousness, within the framework of which the author's diagnostic methods (a scheme of a semi-structured interview and a personality questionnaire for evaluating the significance of rights and freedoms) are presented, allowing a comprehensive study of the phenomenon of an individual's legal consciousness. It is concluded that it is necessary to use qualitative and quantitative methodologies in psychological diagnostics of legal consciousness that are relevant to the being of the studied aspect of the individual.
