Development of the scheme for experimental sample of molding form with conformal cooling channels system for selective laser melting technology

This article represents the results of designing and manufacturing a molding form with conformal cooling system. In the forming parts of molding form, conformal cooling channels optimized by the finite element method in the CAE system were implemented, providing high intensity and cooling uniformity. Construction of molding form parts was adapted to the manufacturing technology of selective laser melting (SLM) by 40Х13 powder with a grain size of 40 microns. To save powder material and reduce operating time, a cellular (lattice) structure was formed in the hollow interior of the force plunger. The outer surfaces of the fabricated parts were subjected to further machining.
