The article deals with the determining the functional brain asymmetry of university students. The reasons for this situation are determined. The works of the authors in the field ofdetermining the functional asymmetry of the brain are analyzed in the article. The key characteristics of the creation of a new method, techniques for detecting the functional brain asymmetry are revealed. For quick and easy identification of an individual profile of lateralisation, a system for self-determination of the functional brain asymmetryis proposed. As a result of the study, it was possible to create a holistic and multifunctional method for detecting the functional brain asymmetry, which stands out from the background of analogues in the speed and format of execution.
