Results of Tomsk scientists in the area of lasers using in cardiac surgery both in the experiments on animals and in clinical practice are discussed and generalized. Using various types of lasers (such as CO2 (100 W), Nd-YAG (10 W) and the semi-conductor laser (10 W) for indirect laser revascularization of the myocardium as an alternative surgical method of treatment in patients with ischemic heart disease is considered. The data of efficacy of clinical application of the semiconductor laser in the cardiovascular surgery department of the Institute of Cardiology, Tomsk Research Center, Siberian Branch of RAMS in different terms from performing the surgery are presented. Significant positive clinical effect is noted.
