In the fight against dangerous infectious diseases have crucial laboratory diagnosis and indication of pathogens. Since then, botulism was isolated in the form of separate nosological forms, all over the world continuously we are searching for specific, sensitive and rapid methods for laboratory confirmation of this diagnosis. A comprehensive and detailed study of the causative agent of botulism and toxins were allowed to develop a method of obtaining erythrocyte antigenic botulinum antigen, which is intended to detect specific antibodies to the causative agent of botulism in the blood serum. The essence of indirect hemagglutination reaction (IHR) is that red blood cells have the ability to adsorb antigens for yourself, be sensitive (sensitized). Erythrocytes sensitized with the antigen, called the erythrocytic diagnosticums. For the preparation of erythrocytic antigen, the most commonly used sheep red blood cells having high adsorptive activity. One of the components of this method is the antigen used as the immunogen involved in the serological reactions.
