The article considers methodical aspects of assessment of the learners’ preparedness within the current competence-based approach used at educational institutions. The authors reveal the algorithm of developing assessment means whereby one can estimate the level of the learners’ acquiring of educational programme and the development of competencies required by the Federal State Educational Standards of higher professional education during the current and preliminary assessment.
