The faculty development programme based on program-targeted approach

The program-targeted approach is a tool to determine strategic priorities in the development of an educational organization of higher education that define the development directions for the university and its structural units - faculties. The application of the program-targeted approach is based on achieving the highest possible level of clarity and quantitative certainty in program objectives’ formulation. At the same time, program-targeted approach allows setting goals in a qualitative formulation that do not have clear numerical expression, but are sufficiently clear to represent the targets for which the required direction of program actions can be established. The most important part of the program-targeted approach is the transition from a set of systemically-organized goals and tasks to a system of program actions, actions to achieve goals. The target program is a set of interrelated tasks and specific activities that are planned for systematic implementation, united by a single goal indicating the results of the solution of these tasks. Methods of research: program-targeted approach, documentation study. A program for the development of the faculty has been devised, which presents its purpose, tasks, main directions of development; determines tasks’ content and the main indicators of the accomplishment of the assigned tasks. It is shown that the program is implemented through a system of program activities represented by various actions aimed to develop the resource potential of the faculty. This system of program activities includes a list of measures for the identified nine priority areas, as well as the results that the implementation of this development program can bring. It was concluded that these programs should be developed for each faculty, in order to achieve the strategic goals of the university.
