Developing the reader’s interest in older preschool children through travel games

The development of reading interest in children of senior preschool age with the help of travel games is a current direction of pedagogical activity aimed at developing a love of reading and literature among preschoolers. The work focuses on the importance of using travel games as an effective tool for creating an exciting educational process. The results of the use of travel games in the practice of working with children of senior preschool age are examined, and the positive effects from the introduction of this method into the educational process are analyzed. The importance of such approaches for the comprehensive development of a child’s personality and preparing him for further education at school is emphasized.The article reveals the concepts of “travel games”, “reader interest”, describes the structural components of travel games, and provides factors for the formation of reader interest. Particular attention is paid to the practical aspects of organizing travel games, their influence on the development of cognitive activity and creative abilities of children. Examples of specific travel games aimed at increasing motivation for reading and in-depth understanding of literary works are given. The results of the study confirm the high effectiveness of travel games in developing a sustainable interest in reading in preschool children.
