The Development of the Federal Project «Professionalitet» in the Irkutsk Region

The article discusses some aspects of the implementation of the Federal Project «Professionalitet» in the system of secondary vocational education (SVE) in Russia and, in particular, in the Irkutsk Region. The article outlines the relevance of the Concept for the Development of Secondary Vocational Education in the Irkutsk Region adopted in 2025 and reviews the main provisions of this strategic regional document. The author analyzes the practice of implementing key initiatives of the «Professionalitet» project, taking into account regional opportunities and the specifics of educational, industrial and educational clusters operating in the Irkutsk Region. The paper notes some problems with the implementation of the «Professionalitet» project related to the creation of new educational programs with the active participation of employers, the need to improve the qualifications of teachers, and the modernization of the material and technical base of colleges. The author draws a conclusion about the absolute importance of the «Professionalitet» project for the development of the economy of the Irkutsk Region, the project’s involvement in solving the problems of meeting the personnel needs of the region.
