Flexibility as a physical quality is one of the most important in most sports. At the same time, experts differ both in the importance of this quality, and the means and methods of its development, which adversely affects the level of athletes' condition and, ultimately, has a negative impact on their athletic performance. The article substantiates the need to improve the flexibility of students doing fitnessaerobics at the initial stage of training. Besides, it determines the characteristics and significance of fitness-aerobics as a student kind of sports.
