Individual entrepreneurship development under unemployment: based on the sociological research

This paper analyzes the recent poll results derived from the individual entrepreneurs who have started the business while being unemployed. The role and the support of the employment service in the region are presented. The scope and types of individual business activity along with the conditions of its implementation are examined. The paper emphasizes the sociological aspects of individual entrepreneurship of the unemployed: motivation, need for learning, change of social and psychological state, financial position in terms of business activity, family support. The research identifies the problems that prevent the individual entrepreneurship development in villages, districts and cities of the Novosibirsk region (such as problems of renting rooms, financial problems, high credit interest rates, administrative barriers faced by the unemployed while starting and conducting their business). They are followed by defining the effective types of the state support for the unemployed.
