Development of students’ research skills within the framework of studying disciplines of general education and social and humanitarian cycles

In the context of changes in the educational process, the problem of training highly educated and diversified specialists capable of solving the most complex issues in professional activities becomes urgent. For this reason, attention in the article is drawn to the development of students’ research skills as the basis for training specialists in accordance with the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard for Secondary Professional Education. The authors highlight the main directions for the development of students’ research skills within the frame- work of studying disciplines of general education and social and humanitarian cycles, focusing on various types of activities (classroom and extracurricular). The experience of developing re- search skills is described using the example of such disciplines as “Fundamentals of design and research activities”, “Russian language”, “Literature”, “History”. Particular attention in the article is paid to the complex work of several teachers who teach disciplines of general education and social and humanitarian cycles and use different approaches in working with students.
