Development of students' Research competence of scientific legal knowledge

The article deals with the issues of development of students' research competence of legal knowledge. The characteristic of forms of a scientific legal research and stages of a legal research is given by the authors. The analysis of concepts of research competence of law students and its structural components in the modern literature is carried out. The characteristic of research competence of law students is given and its components are distinguished. Development of students' research competence can be carried out in the main forms of legal knowledge: theoretical, historical and legal, methodological, empirical, applied researches. Development of students' research competence can be carried out in accordance with the main stages of legal knowledge: goal-setting stage; preparatory stage; empirical stage; theoretical stage; stage of statement and publication of results of a research. The result of development of law students' research competences is the performance of their own dissertation research. And the research competences are formed during the process of its performance.
