Development of students' research competence in the process of learning mathematics

The article discusses students' research competence development at the mathematics classes with application of the system-activity approach. The system approach allows the teacher not only to give students better knowledge, but also familiarize them with the methodology of scientific research. The authors describe the basic principles and methods of the approach implementation in the course of mathematics teaching. The paper discusses an example of the higher mathematics creative problem and the process of its solution, in the course of which the students fulfill their research potential.
