In the modern world, human capital is the most important resource for any organization. The ISO series standards reinforce the importance of this resource, since a person not only performs production tasks, but also affects the productivity, innovation and competitiveness of an organization, therefore, professional risk management is currently a priority for managers. However, in the context of increasing complexity of business processes, increased production and services, economic crisis and social instability, a new group of occupational risks has emerged – psychosocial. They can lead to serious consequences such as workplace stress, professional burnout and depression. These negative effects worsen people’s living conditions and standards, creating threats to individual well-being. In this regard, the development of emotional intelligence is especially important in the modern world, as it helps to adapt to changing conditions and effectively cope with various challenges. Emotional intelligence includes the ability to recognize, perceive and manage not only your own emotions, but also the emotions of others. This ability allows you to understand your reactions to stressful situations, develop constructive and effective methods of overcoming them, make informed decisions, and build harmonious interpersonal relationships that ensure productive cooperation. Thus, the development of emotional intelligence has a positive effect on psychosocial risks by strengthening mental health.
