Students’ creative abilities development in the research and information environment of high school

The article is motivated by the approaches to the notion of creativity as a basis of the personality oriented education. Considering learning activity as a quasi-investigative one explains the shift to a new level of education based on the creativity development. The analysis underlines the ideas of the research activities being a promising tool of students’ creative development. Two aspects of the creative research activity are taken into account. They tend to account for the result of students’ study such as new knowledge which is characterized by practical application. The research activity is dened as a means of development of students’ creative abilities due to acquiring new skills and changing their motivation.Our study explored the role of the information environment possibilities, providing the use of cognitive tasks, project methods and individual work in the process of creative abilities development. System analysis of various branches of the research activity let us use the integrative notion of the information environment as a special kind of the educational environment, encouraging the potential creative abilities of students.
