The article highlights the issues of the role and place of human capital in the development of management in the conditions of the fourth industrial revolution. The factors determining the realization of human capital, the concept of which begins to form in the second half of the twentieth century, are considered. The strengthening of the importance of human capital and the creative abilities of employees in the 21st century is shown, which makes it important to assess human capital as a factor in the development of quality management.
