Development of the national system of pre-school education in Azerbaijan

The article deals with the pre-school education in Azerbaijan. The author analyses the "Curriculum of Preschool Education in the Azerbaijan Republic" and specifies the requirements to managers and teachers of preschool institutions. Based on the undertaken analysis of Azerbaijan pre-school education system, it is concluded that the key problem affecting negatively the quality of education and training is the problem of human resources. It is emphasized that the main goal of the preschool education reforming is to implement the measures focused on improvement of professionalism and competency of teaching staff working in preschools.
