The paper is devoted to the analysis of the professional training of young scientific and pedagogical personnel. Based on the results of sociological studies conducted by the authors in 2019, the priority areas of personnel policy in working with youth are identified. The authors conclude that the erosion of the role of social responsibility mechanisms of a number of educational organizations, within the framework of limited personal choice, has complicated the coordination of the distribution and redistribution of young personnel in the context of effective employment. The relevance today is the formation of scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel with demanded professional competencies and integrated into the labor division system. A balanced combination of deep theoretical training of young university cadres with practical activities in innovative organizations will increase not only the effective training of young people within the framework of labor market requirements, but also increase their academic mobility.
