Development of law students’ writing skills in a foreign language in the aspect of forming professional competences

In the article, the author proves the relevance of developing students’ skills and abilities to conduct business correspondence in a foreign language, taking into account the economic situation in the world. The author presents a teaching method that promotes the development of writing skills and abilities on the example of teaching law students. The author of the article notes the need to use the contextual approach in the process of teaching a foreign language. The author notes that training focused on practicing practical actions within the educational situations of a professionally-oriented context ensures the formation of both subject and social knowledge and experience of future professional activity. The article describes the stages of educational activity for the development of writing skills that can be considered as practical recommendations for use in the process of teaching a foreign language for students.
