The article is devoted to the process of introducing neurotechnologies and the transition to a new stage of development. An analogy is given between the development of computer technology and the development of neurotechnology. The article examines the role of higher education institutions in the development of scientific and technical progress. An analysis of publication activity in the field of neurotechnology is presented. The analysis of existing laboratories and research centers in the field of neurotechnology in several higher educational institutions has been carried out.
