Developing Pedagogical Competencies in Vocational College Students: A Case Study of Specialty 44.02.03 — Pedagogy of Supplementary Education

The article explores the process of developing pedagogical competencies in students enrolled in the specialty 44.02.03 – Pedagogy of Supplementary Education at the Buryat State University College. The article examines key aspects of building professional competence in future supplementary education teachers, including theo-retical foundations, methodological approaches, and practical recommendations. The authors identify the following as essential professional competencies for educators: subject-methodological, psychological-pedagogical, communicative, organizational-management, and reflective. The successful development of these competencies de-pends on the pedagogical conditions created within the college, particularly the effec-tive implementation of a practice-oriented approach to teaching. Special emphasis is placed on the importance of pedagogical internships. The article presents the results of an empirical study that demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approaches to developing pedagogical competencies in vocational college students, which can be applied to improve the training of specialists in supplementary education.
