Development of practical-pedagogical abilities of future educators during their studies at universities in China

The article argues the necessity of organizing high-quality practical training for future educators and preschool teachers in universities in China. The authors are revealing some problems hindering the improvement of the system of practical training for future educators in Chinese universities: short-term training with a focus on theoretical preparation, standardization of the education system and teaching methods, as well as the lack of motivation among students for self-education. The article formulates key directions for the development of the system of teacher training. Developing the practical-pedagogical abilities of future educators and teachers, including communication, management, and research skills, is an important component of the overall pedagogical training of students during their university education. Chinese universities need to utilize educational, material-technical, and pedagogical resources for comprehensive dissemination and continuous improvement of the existing model of teacher training.
