Development of legal regulation of the institute for insuality of transactions

The article examines the genesis of legal rules governing the grounds and procedure for invalidating a transaction. Attention is paid to the novels of civil law, in particular, the introduction of an article on the invalidity of the contract. The features of applying the principle of estoppel and other basic principles of civil law are considered.
