Formation of students’ project research competence in sociocultural ecological environment

The article focuses on the problems of implementing goals of education for sustainable development in the Lake Baikal Area. It covers theoretical approaches and mechanisms of implementing education for sustainable development, with an emphasis on the social partnership between a school, nature reserve and local community. Analysis is done on the basis of many years' experience of organizing environmental education at Boarding school # 21" of the Russian railway company. The article offers practical recommendations for forming students' project research competence in the sociocultural environment.
