Development of vocational education in Bashkiria: from history

On the example of one of the regions of the USSR -Bashkiria, the formation of a general system of vocational education and its role in the training of gualified personnel for the national economy, the development of which was happening in the 1920-1930s at an accelerated pace, is considered. The article shows that due to the specific features of the republic, the main attention was focused on solving the problem of involving representatives of non-Russian peoples and women in the sphere of social production and improving their gualifications. The growing needs of industry determined the necessity for the development of educational institutions for training specialists. Along with the positive results, the article also reviews the difficulties that accompanied the solution of this significant national economic problem. The author traces the dynamics of the formation and development of the vocational education system in the autonomous republic, notes the importance of training qualified personnel for the national economy of Bashkiria and the USSR as a whole.
