Explores the role of innovation in the pedagogical process and its impact on enhancing the quality of education. The author analyzes the concept of innovation activity, delineating its fundamental aspects and types of competence necessary for the successful implementation of innovations. Special attention is given to competencies such as social, methodological, communicative, cultural, and innovative. The article underscores the significance of innovations for contemporary pedagogy and the imperative of their continual integration into the educational process. It examines examples of successful innovation implementation in pedagogical practice and their positive effects on the efficacy of the educational process. The study aims to identify the primary trends in the development of pedagogical science and practice within the context of innovative advancement.
