Development of professional competence of students at various stages of training

In the article, the authors consider the ways of formation and development of students' professional and subject competencies. The purpose of the study is to determine the list of basic competencies that graduates of pedagogical universities should possess. In the course of the study, methods of observation, conversation, questioning, etc. were used. The obtained results indicate the need for purposeful work of the university to form students of the mathematical direction of various level competencies.
