The complexity of military professional tasks of modern military specialists actualizes the importance of personal development of cadets of military universities. The article presents approaches to the analysis of reflection in the philosophical and psychological literature. The role of reflection in military professional activity is considered and the necessity of developing reflexive skills in cadets of military universities is proved. The author identifies and characterizes the system of pedagogical conditions for the development of students ' reflexive skills in the study of social and humanitarian disciplines. Among them are motivational and target conditions; structural and content conditions; scientific and methodological conditions.
