The study analyzes the problem of the human-machine interaction at the present stage of technology development. It raises the ethical issues of convergence of humans and intelligent technology. The reasoning is based on the comparative analysis of the philosophical concepts of alienation in existentialism and the philosophy of the 20th-century technology. The research demonstrates the development of the modern man’s worldview: being alienated from the humanistic principle, a person accompanied by machines creates the artificial, man-made world, which is perceived by him as a natural element similar to nature. The philosophy of existentialism, which comprehends the alienation of a man from the humanistic principle, and the philosophy of technology, which attempts to solve the problems of the alienated man through the construction of the world with the help of machines, made up one process that softly and invisibly integrated machines into the human community. The robot, entering into a relationship with a person, becomes Another in relation to him, i.e. there is a mutual reflection of a man and a robot. When choosing a robot as Another, the creative person has to endow it with qualities similar to himself or an animal, i.e. the independence of action; in this situation, the technology is developing in an independent, free of human manner. Faced with the massive replacement of a human with a robot, we have to realize and seek solutions to the impending problems.
