This article analyzes the development of retail trade in the format of modern shopping centers: the main market players and prospects in particular and the sector in general. The advantages and disadvantages of existing shopping centers, and their influence on the efficiency of the projects are depicted. Due to these complexes the ranging of successful and unsuccessful sites allowing an objective assessment of the volume of supply of quality retail real estate in the territory under consideration are rated.
