The development of preschool children's capacity for self-regulation in family social space

The article reveals the influence of family structure on the peculiarities of the development of preschool children's self-regulation. It was found that the following factors have a positive influence on the development of self-regulation 1) the completeness of the family; 2) the presence of a sibling of the same sex; 3) the presence of an elder sibling; 4) the participation of grandparents in child upbringing. The following factors have a negative influence on the development of preschool children's capacity for self-regulation: 1) a single parent family; 2) cohabitation with one grandparent (grandmother) and 3) the presence of an elder sister in the family.
