Development of the theory of human and intellectual capital in historical retrospective

The paper examines the development of the theory of human and intellectual capital in historical retrospect. There are 4 historical periods of the development of these theories and each is considered separately. The opinions of various foreign and Russian scholars, various interpretations of the concepts under study and the main postulates of various concepts are given. In conclusion, the author's position on intellectual capital is expressed and justified. Models (scenarios) of income generation for human and intellectual capital are also given, and the author's opinion on their differences depending on the existing economic model.
