Creative potential of teachers of geography: criteria and levels of its formation

The article demonstrates the study of the characteristics of the teacher ’s personality potential and its relationship with creative work and creativity. The author identifies a number of structural components of the creative potential of the teacher and determines the levels of its formation. The author analyses the specificity of realization of creative potential of geography teachers in professional activity in solving some educational problems. Materials for the article are the data obtained in the analysis of numerous literature sources on the research topic and personal experience of the author as a schoolteacher of geography. Teachers of educational institutions of different levels in order to enhance professional competence and work quality can use the results of this research.
