Competency development of students during solving in analytical type of equations of mathematical physics using Maple

In this paper, using the example of a one-dimensional inhomogeneous hyperbolic equation, we show the main steps that allow students to obtain an analytical solution using the Maple system. The source code presented in the work is equipped with numerous comments, which makes it fairly easy to modify it. In this regard, the initial and boundary conditions and the free term can be changed for the initial equation. And since the solution is additionally presented in graphical form, the students can easily analyze for the impact on the decision of the initial and boundary conditions, as well as the free term.
