The article studies the issue of attention in primary school-aged children. The results of a study on attention processes and a psychocorrective program for developing attention through origami techniques in primary school children with delayed mental development are presented. It has been established that primary school children with delayed mental development are characterized by low indicators of attention span, formation of voluntary regulation of mental functions, low levels of voluntary attention development, productivity, and attention stability. Our developed psychocorrective program for developing attention through origami techniques promotes the voluntary regulation of attention processes. The significant impact of origami method sessions on the development of attention in primary school children with delayed mental development has been confirmed.
