Development of higher physical education in Tajikistan: a historical review

This article presents a historical overview of the formation of higher physical education in the modern history of Tajikistan. It is noted that transformations in the cultural and social life of the country, as in other aspects of the lives of the peoples of Central Asia, were inextricably linked with a radical change in state power. The true development of all sectors of the national economy, including physical education and sports, began with the formation of the Tajik SSR. Subsequent successes in implementing national economic plans created favorable conditions for further progress in the field of physical culture and sports. In these conditions, physical education organizations in Tajikistan faced the task of more widely using physical culture as a factor in strengthening the health of workers and preparing them for productive labor. It is emphasized that for the further development of physical education in Tajikistan in the coming decades, it is necessary to focus on historical and methodological issues. It is important to conduct a deep analysis and generalization of the accumulated experience and achievements of progressive pedagogical thought. Studying the history of general education, including physical education, as well as the specifics of organizing public education, allows us to identify its positive and negative impact on the spiritual development of a person and the formation of their worldview.
