Development of higher art education in the context of digital transformation: global trends and Chinese specifics

A review of pedagogical literature on the topic of the research is presented. From the standpoint of axiological and interdisciplinary approaches, modern trends in the development of art education in the context of digitalization of educational activities are considered. The influence of the digital transformation of society on the training of future teachers of fine arts is described: the use of innovative educational technologies, electronic educational resources and the latest means of education management in art universities. The problems are highlighted and the prospects for updating the system of professional art education in the context of the information society and the construction of a digital economy in China are assessed. The influence of the informatization of higher education on the formation of creative independence and professional qualities of students in art fields of training is analyzed. A conclusion is made about the need to support new digital formats in art and design, provided that national traditions and value foundations of artistic culture are preserved and enhanced as the basis for aesthetic education in China.
