Development of Higher Education in Central Asian Countries and its Integration into the Bologna Process

The article presents an analysis of the development of higher education in Central Asian countries with an emphasis on the historical background of its development and the integration of national higher education systems into the international educational space. The article examines the features of the development of higher education in Central Asian countries, taking into account the infl uence of the Soviet model of education on it, the key goals and principles of the Bologna process. A comparative analysis of the current state of national higher education systems in Central Asian countries is presented. It describes the participation of five countries in international student and teacher exchange projects under the Erasmus+ program, which makes it possible to assess the level of integration of Central Asian higher education systems into the Bologna process and the prospects for further development of international cooperation between the countries in the field of higher education. Figures and tables illustrating the results of the analysis are presented.
