Implementation of intermedia metatext in D. H. Lawrence's short stories

The article presents analysis of the implementation of intermedia meta-text in the works of short fiction by D. H. Lawrence. It discusses the writer's short stories of the early, transitional and late periods from the point of view of attraction of means of other art forms to implement the author's intention. The emphasis on the dualistic nature of the creative personality of Lawrence, writer and painter. The hypothesis of their mutual influence and interdependence.
