As a result of the study, it was revealed that phraseological units with the concept of "Life" in both languages lend themselves to a similar classification, and the ways of their expression have much in common. However, there are some differences: in English phraseology, the concept of "omur/life" is often embodied through material or specific characteristics, whereas in the Kyrgyz tradition it is mainly presented in an abstract and metaphorical form. This study demonstrates that for native English speakers, life can be viewed as a physical reality, whereas for native Kyrgyz speakers, it is associated with spiritual and symbolic aspects.
