Based on theoretical-legal stance, the paper analyses the peculiarities of the implementation of the dignity rights of an individual with disabilities in modern Russian society. It has been noted that, despite the equality of rights for all citizens, which is enshrined in a number of international and Federal statutory and regulatory enactments, the Dignity Rights (as well as many other rights) of individuals with disabilities is often violated in our country. The author postulates that the current obstacles to the successful legal socialization of Russians with disabilities are inadequate perceptions of modern Russian society and individuals with disabilities themselves regarding their rights, as well as the imperfection of external conditions of the Legal Socialization of Individuals with Disabilities process. It has highlighted the close correlation between the level of realization of civic rights of individuals with disabilities within a given society and the peculiarities of the legal socialization of individuals with disabilities therein. The main ways of improving this process in modern Russia, involving certain transformations of both objective and subjective reality, have been proposed.
