The transition to a three-level higher education system in Russian universities has led to significant changes in the educational process of students. The key objectives of the implementation of Russian master’s programs is creating of the new content for disciplines (modules) and practices in accordance with the planned results, approved 31 Инновационные процессы в контексте непрерывного образования Реализация программы пе даг огическ ой магистра ту ры: опыт и перспек тивы by the federal state educational standards of higher education, and of the educational process based on modern methodological approaches. This paper presents the experience and perspectives of master’s educational program «Foreign Languages» in Pedagogical Sciences at Chelyabinsk State University. Based on the analysis of foreign and Russian literature, the trends in modern educational systems and educational practice, the main perspectives of a master’s program were identified. One of which is the blended learning with the incorporation of massive open online courses (MOOC) in the educational system. The second of which is the network form of collaboration by realization of the master’s program.
