Implementation of the system of improving the quality of cadets' professional training at a military-engineering institute

Introduction. The new approaches to the quality of specialist professional training are established by the new philosophy of education, development of pedagogical qualimetry, extended experience of assessing the quality. Meanwhile, in pedagogical science and practice there has been an establishment of the phenomenon of “quality of professional training” itself, which is connected with the client's requirements, prospects and forecast of military-engineering development. The objective is to give theoretical grounds and experimental verification of the system of improving the quality of cadets' professional training at a military-engineering institute. Маterials and Methods. Experimental verification of the developed system was conducted at Omsk Tank-Engineering Institute (branch of General of the Army A. V. Khrulev Military Logistics Academy). The experiment covered 106 teachers, 722 military cadets and graduates. This number involved only the respondents who participated in all assessments and measurements. To solve the tasks the research employed the methods of pedagogical activity, methods of administering pedagogical systems. During the whole experiment methods of involved pedagogical observation, expert assessment and public opinion polls, pedagogical experiment and methods of statistical data processing were also used. Results and Discussion. The paper contains general content characteristics of experimental verification of the system of improving the quality of cadets' professional training at a military-engineering institute. The leading staff of the military-engineering institute purposefully exerted influence on the pedagogical personnel, whose work is directly related to establishing the process of improving quality. Pedagogical avenues to improve the quality were realized, mechanisms of its improvement were activated, and the main instruments included into the system were tested. Conclusions. The results of the theoretical research made it possible to develop and verify the system of improving the quality of cadets' professional training as the work performed by the teaching staff at a military-engineering institute.
