The reception of W. Shakespeare’s tragedy “Hamlet” in the works by the rock-poet V. R. Tsoy

In the article discussed the development of literary tradition of Russian hamletism in the poetry of rock-author V.R. Tsoy. There it is researched allusions and reminiscences, which are linking his songs with the text of tragedy of Shakespeare, and biographical material in the relationship between the image of the Hamlet and the author identity of the rock poet. The conclusion is V.R. Tsoy solves the question of Shakespeare hero from the perspective of his own creative individuality, he determined “love” as the most significant in the life.
