The article is devoted to the aspects of the visual in literature. The novelty is determined by the fact that in it the visual in literature is regarded as a special form of being for an aesthetic object, in the unity of the evaluated and the evaluation is disclosed. The author comes to the conclusion that a literary work is revived in the reader’s imagination as a visual phenomenon due to the receptive act of reader concretization. It follows that the so-called visual concretization is a receptive act in which the reader is capable to visualize the observer’s position (the role of the observer can be played by the protagonist or the narrator) and the positions of the characters in the depicted environment. The author of this article, taking into consideration R. Ingarden’s research, marks as one of the receptive aspects of the visual author the phenomenon of the so-called “visual reduction”. The latter is defined as the place of incomplete visible certainty, which cannot be removed throughout the text, because they condition the state of being for the artistic world. Another equally important receptive aspect of the visual of distance is a type of moral attitude that is expressed by means of a visible image that appears in front of the reader as a detail of appearance or space, coming from the emotional and volitional attitude of the protagonist or the narrator.
