Description of a rare observation of focal pontine lesions, simulating inoperable tumor in a girl 16 years old. The first diagnosis was based on the typical pattern of brain stem tumor by MRI and PET results. A thorough medical history, the effectiveness of hormone therapy, and a detailed analysis of MRI images helped to establish the correct diagnosis psevdotumorous encephalomyelitis and refrain from radiotherapy, which was sent to the patient. Hormone therapy has provided a complete rehabilitation of the girls.
