Combined revascularization, laser + cells of the peri-cicatrical zone, was performed on a postinfarction model of chronical ischemia in dogs in three-month time. Use was made of mononuclear bone marrow cells with final concentration equal to 5x106, which were implanted in laser channels. In a month after revascularization of the pericicatrical zone myocardium an increase of 124±4.7/ mml in number density of arterioles as compared to 95±0.4/mml in the control group ((P<0.05) and in number density of capillaries 2938±68.8/mml as compared to 2144±93.6/mml in the control group (P<0.05). Karyometric analysis showed an increase of 29.7±1.32 in the density of cardiocyte nuclei per test area in the vascularization zones as compared to 22.0±1.52 in the control group (P<0.05), a double increase of 972.3±98.2 of sums of cardiocyte nucleus areas per test area as compared to 465.6±37.1 in the control group (P<0.05), as well as an increase of 32.6±0.64 |jl in the size of nuclei on the assumption of their mean area as compared to 21.0±0.38 jl in the control group (P<0.05). Combined revascularization enhances microcirculation of the myocardium pericicatrical area and restores regeneration of car-dyocytes.
