Region of residence as a condition of professional self-determination of high school students

The article presents results of the empirical research of features of professional self-determination of high school students of the Astrakhan and the Stavropol regions. The authors discuss the status of professional identity of high school students, the degree of their readiness for successful functioning in a certain professional sphere, orientation of professional interests of high school students and their inclination to various spheres of professional activity. The type of a professional orientation of high school students is defined. It is proved that the region in which teenagers live determines the features of their professional self-determination.
